System Engineer

Job Description

One of our Aerospace and Defense clients is seeking a Senior Ground Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, verification, and testing of next-generation satellite ground systems.

This individual will work across the full systems engineering lifecycle, supporting requirements development, interface design, system architecture, integration, verification, testing, and customer delivery activities.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience supporting Ground Command & Control (C2) systems, systems integration, requirements development, and verification & validation efforts within aerospace, defense, or satellite environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and support satellite ground system architecture and design.
• Analyze system and subsystem requirements.
• Create and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
• Support Ground Command & Control (C2) software integration and testing.
• Develop, execute, and document system test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Perform system verification and validation activities.
• Support software and system integration efforts.
• Evaluate customer and operational requirements.
• Perform technical analysis to optimize system architecture and performance.
• Support requirements management, risk management, issue tracking, and technology readiness activities.
• Participate in customer demonstrations and system qualification efforts.
• Collaborate within Agile Systems Engineering teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• Active Top Secret Clearance (required to start)
• Bachelor's Degree in: Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or Related Technical Discipline
• 4 -15+ years of Systems Engineering experience (Levels vary)
• Ground Command & Control (C2) software systems experience
• Verification and testing experience within ground software systems
• Systems Engineering & Analysis experience
• Systems Integration & Test (I&T) experience
• Requirements Development
• Systems Engineering - Software integration - Systems Integration & Testing
• Verification & Validation (V&V) - Ground Systems

• Satellite, Space Systems, and MILSATCOM experience
• Ground Systems Architecture and Integrated Systems Engineering
