What we store, and why

Job Agent matches you to jobs and helps you apply. Everything we keep exists to do that, and nothing here is sold or shared with employers.

Your résumé and profile

Your résumé is read once to build a profile you can edit: title, skills, experience, education, and the preferences you set. The file itself is stored only after you sign in, so the extension can attach it to applications. Delete your data from any alert email or from your profile page and the file and profile are removed.

Alert emails

Links in our emails open the role in Job Agent and sign you in for that browser. They expire after 14 days. We record which emails were opened and which links were clicked so we can measure how fast our alerts reach you. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.

The Job Agent Autofill Chrome extension

• It runs only on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby application pages, and on job-agent-app.netlify.app to connect to your account.
• On an application page it reads the form's structure (field labels, types, options) and sends that to Job Agent to decide what to fill. It never sends values you typed, the page's content, or screenshots.
• It fills fields from your profile and uploads your résumé file. It never submits an application.
• It records that a fill happened (which job, when) for your daily quota and your Applied tab, and only marks a job applied when you confirm it in the panel.
• It stores a sign-in token for your account in the extension's own storage. Revoke it from your profile at any time.
