About this role

About The Role

The role is for a full-stack engineer who owns features end-to-end — from React frontends users interact with daily to the TypeScript/Node and Python services behind them, backed by PostgreSQL, Redis, and event-driven pipelines running on AWS.

The team ships weekly. Engineers here own their work from design docs and API contracts through deployment, monitoring, and iteration based on real user feedback — no handoffs, no ticket factory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship full-stack features across React/TypeScript frontends and Node.js or Python backend services, owning delivery from spec to production
  • Architect and implement REST and GraphQL APIs with clear contracts, strong typing, comprehensive test coverage, and sub-100ms p95 latency targets on hot paths
  • Model and evolve PostgreSQL schemas, write performant queries, and design caching strategies with Redis to support products serving millions of requests per day
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions with automated testing, feature flags, and safe rollouts via Docker/Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Instrument services with observability tooling (Datadog, OpenTelemetry) and own on-call rotation participation, including incident triage and postmortems
  • Collaborate directly with product managers and designers to scope features, challenge requirements, and make pragmatic build-vs-buy decisions
  • Contribute to engineering standards through code reviews, technical design docs, and mentoring of mid-level engineers

What We Are Looking For

  • 4–8 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production web applications at scale
  • Deep proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, or Go), with strong API design fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience with React (or a comparable modern frontend framework) including state management, performance optimization, and accessibility
  • Solid relational database skills: schema design, query optimization, indexing, and migrations with zero-downtime deploys
  • Practical experience with AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3), containerization, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred)
  • Track record of shipping user-facing features independently and driving technical decisions across a full stack
  • Bonus: Experience with event streaming (Kafka, Kinesis), WebSockets/real-time systems, or React Native mobile development
