Job description
About this role
About The Role
The role sits at the intersection of corporate finance and regulatory compliance, building the models, analyses, and reporting that support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making across the business.
The work is grounded in US GAAP, SOX 404 controls, and SEC reporting requirements — translating complex financial and regulatory data into clear outputs that leadership and auditors can act on.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, including driver-based revenue and expense models
- Prepare monthly close analysis, flux reporting, and management commentary that reconciles actuals against plan and prior-year performance
- Support SOX 404 compliance by documenting key financial controls, executing control testing, and coordinating remediation with internal audit
- Contribute to SEC reporting deliverables, including supporting schedules for 10-Q and 10-K filings and technical accounting memos
- Partner with accounting, FP&A, and business teams to validate data integrity across ERP and reporting systems (NetSuite, SQL, Excel/Power BI)
- Evaluate business decisions — pricing, headcount, capital allocation — with rigorous analysis of financial impact and risk
- Streamline recurring reporting through automation and improved data pipelines, reducing manual close work each quarter
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, public accounting, or a comparable corporate finance role
- Strong command of US GAAP, with working knowledge of SOX 404 control frameworks and SEC reporting cadence
- Advanced Excel modeling skills and hands-on experience with an ERP (NetSuite, SAP, or Workday) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial findings to non-financial stakeholders clearly and concisely
- Track record of improving reporting processes or controls, not just maintaining them
- Bonus: CPA or CPA candidacy, experience at a Big 4 firm, or exposure to ASC 606/842 technical accounting
