Job description
About this role
About The Role
The role builds and maintains native mobile applications used by millions of users daily, owning features end-to-end from architecture and implementation through release, instrumentation, and iteration.
You will work closely with product designers, backend engineers, and QA to ship high-quality iOS and Android experiences where performance, reliability, and polish are non-negotiable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship user-facing features in Swift/SwiftUI (iOS) and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose (Android), participating in both platforms or specializing deeply in one
- Architect modular, testable mobile codebases with clean separation between UI, domain, and data layers
- Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, WebSockets, and push notification pipelines (APNs, FCM) with robust offline and caching strategies
- Optimize app performance: startup time, memory footprint, battery usage, and rendering using profilers and tracing tools on both platforms
- Own the release process: CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions), staged rollouts, feature flags, and App Store / Play Store submission workflows
- Instrument and monitor production apps using crash reporting (Sentry, Crashlytics), analytics, and performance telemetry; drive down crash rates and ANRs
- Participate in code reviews, write unit and UI tests (XCTest, JUnit, Compose testing), and contribute to team engineering standards
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience building and shipping native mobile applications to production at scale
- Deep proficiency in Swift and/or Kotlin, with strong understanding of modern declarative UI frameworks (SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose)
- Experience with mobile architecture patterns: MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture, plus DI frameworks (Hilt, Swinject)
- Hands-on experience with concurrency patterns: Swift Concurrency (async/await), Kotlin Coroutines and Flow
- Familiarity with app store review processes, mobile CI/CD, and observability tooling for mobile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: Cross-platform experience (Kotlin Multiplatform, React Native), mobile security best practices, or contributions to open-source mobile libraries
