Shift: 12-Hour Nights

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department in Redding, California. The ideal candidate should be skilled in patient assessment, triage, emergency interventions, and managing patients with acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and life-threatening conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients upon arrival and prioritize care based on the urgency of their conditions.
• Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient status.
• Provide emergency nursing care to patients with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist physicians with emergency procedures and interventions.
• Recognize and respond promptly to critical and life-threatening situations.
• Perform neurological assessments and monitor patients for signs of stroke or other neurological changes.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Follow emergency department protocols, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.

• ACLS – Required
• BLS Certification – Required
• NIHSS – Required
• PALS – Required
• COVID-19 Vaccination – Required

Must-Have Experience & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and triage skills.
• Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced emergency department.
• Strong critical-thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to recognize and respond effectively to medical emergencies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of emergency nursing procedures and patient-safety standards.
