About the Role

A profitable Series A fintech building payout infrastructure for marketplaces and digital platforms is seeking a Founding Product Manager to own the global payouts platform. This role involves defining the roadmap, designing product flows, and shaping the product function from scratch while working directly with founders and a small engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Join as the company’s first product hire to build the product function from the ground up.
• Own the entire product lifecycle, from API design and customer dashboard to payee onboarding and verification.
• Work directly with founders to define the roadmap and make high-impact prioritization decisions.
• Conduct customer and prospect conversations to understand money movement workflows and identify product friction points.
• Synthesize usage data, support trends, and customer feedback into clear product recommendations.
• Set and own the product roadmap in collaboration with founders and engineering, balancing customer needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
• Design product flows, user interfaces, and interactions across the developer API, customer dashboard, and payee onboarding processes.
• Write requirements, make product and API decisions, QA releases, and validate that shipped features solve the intended problems.
• Collaborate with founders on pricing and packaging strategies.
• Establish product processes for insight gathering, prioritization, and decision-making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a product manager, engineer, or founder.

Required Skills

• Proven track record of taking a product from zero to paying customers.
• Experience owning a roadmap and making difficult prioritization calls.
• Demonstrated ability to engage directly with customers and translate insights into product decisions.
• Experience owning pricing or packaging strategies.
• Technical depth to review API designs, weigh tradeoffs, and influence engineering outcomes (experience with React, Python, and AWS is preferred but not required).
• Hands-on design skills capable of detailing user flows and screen-level interactions.
• Comfort with staying close to what ships, including documentation, QA, product usage analysis, and support escalations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React, Python, and AWS is preferred but not required.

Pay range and compensation package

• $200,000 to $280,000 base salary
• 0.4% to 0.8% equity.
