This role involves owning the end-to-end build of complex product features, from scoping requirements and architecting solutions to building frontend and backend systems, then shipping and iterating. The position is based in San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid workplace arrangement.

Why this role

• Join a small, elite founding engineering team of approximately nine people.
• Own large-scope projects end-to-end, from specifying requirements through architecture, implementation, launch, and iteration.
• Work directly with customers to source requirements, demo new features, and drive the development lifecycle.
• Partner with the Head of Engineering and product managers to break complex requirements into shippable features.
• Make sound architectural decisions balancing speed of delivery, code quality, and long-term scalability.
• Integrate AI agent capabilities into user-facing workflows to ensure reliable and transparent automation.
• Act as a product engineer, applying business judgment and customer empathy to technical decisions.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain production services on cloud infrastructure (AWS and Google Cloud) using containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to engineering standards, code reviews, and mentor future hires as the team scales.

What we are looking for

• 8+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, JavaScript/ES6, and SQL.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
