Surgical Physician Assistant

Physician Assistant (Surgery) Provide advanced practice care to surgical patients across the perioperative continuum, supporting patients through preoperative assessment , intraoperative assistance , and postoperative management . Key Duties Perform histories and physical examinations. Order, evaluate, and interpret diagnostic tests.

Serve as first assistant in the operating room. Manage inpatient rounds and ongoing postoperative care. Coordinate discharge planning and patient handoffs.

Collaborate with surgeons, nursing, and allied healthcare teams to support safe, high-quality care. Provide patient education and contribute to quality and safety initiatives. Engage in continuous learning, innovation, and research activities.

Qualifications & Skills Proficiency in perioperative patient care and clinical decision-making. Strong diagnostic reasoning to order and interpret tests. Ability to assist in surgical procedures and manage postoperative care.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to patient education, safety, and quality improvement.
