Job Details
We’re seeking a commercially minded, technically capable E-Commerce & MarTech Product Owner to guide our Shopify storefronts, web properties, and marketing technology stack. You’ll work with business stakeholders to understand the desired practitioner-to-patient experience, translate needs into clear requirements, and coordinate technical delivery from planning through launch.
This role is suited to someone who can move between business analysis, hands-on website management, and product delivery. You should be comfortable managing a backlog and working directly with developers, while also handling routine configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Own and prioritize the backlog for Shopify storefronts, web properties, and related MarTech capabilities.
- Partner with marketing, sales, brand, and other business leaders to map customer journeys and identify improvements.
- Translate business requests into process flows, system requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate with developers and DevOps to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and deliver releases.
- Manage routine Shopify updates and configurations, including landing pages, templates, app integrations, product discovery, and checkout enhancements.
- Support site quality and customer experience through troubleshooting, testing, and ongoing improvements to performance and usability.
- Coordinate QA and user acceptance testing; confirm enhancements meet requirements before launch.
- Support data flows between Shopify and CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and customer data tools.
- Maintain tracking tools and integrations such as Klaviyo, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and related platforms.
- Maintain an inventory of MarTech tools, Shopify apps, subscriptions, and vendor agreements.
- Use AI tools where appropriate to support requirements development, documentation, testing, and delivery workflows.
- Contribute to efficient release processes, including CI/CD workflows and automated testing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product ownership, technical business analysis, e-commerce, MarTech, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience managing Shopify or Shopify Plus websites, including storefront configuration, app integrations, themes, and checkout workflows.
- Experience translating business needs into process maps, user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience prioritizing a backlog and coordinating work with developers or engineering teams through delivery.
- Practical website management and troubleshooting skills; able to determine when to handle an issue directly and when to involve developers.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation integrations, ideally including Klaviyo, GA4, and GTM.
- Experience with QA, UAT, release coordination, and Agile delivery practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD concepts and the use of AI tools in development, documentation, or testing workflows.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience supporting practitioner portals, healthcare e-commerce, patient recommendations, or account registration and purchasing journeys.
- Enough UI/UX experience to identify customer journey issues and clarify requirements with designers and developers.
- Familiarity with Shopify theme customization and Liquid concepts.
- Experience measuring improvements to conversion, checkout completion, site performance, or customer adoption.
