Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in the telemetry/acute care setting according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Monitor patient data and telemetry readouts; respond to changes and escalate as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate with physicians, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and therapies, perform procedures as ordered, and assess patient responses.
• Supervise and direct activities of licensed and unlicensed staff; delegate tasks appropriately.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education; provide clear health information to the treatment team.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care or telemetry nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification/competency required
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• BSN preferred
