Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including pre- and post-procedure assessment and monitoring.
• Monitor vital signs, airway status, and required hemodynamic parameters; assist with procedure support and coordination with the IR team.
• Maintain strict sterile technique and assist with equipment setup, medications, and contrast administration as directed by the physician.
• Document procedure notes, patient status, and post-procedure instructions in the electronic health record; communicate changes to the team promptly.
• Educate patients and family members on post-procedure care, expected recovery, and safety precautions; ensure patient comfort and safety during recovery.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an interventional radiology or related procedural nursing specialty
• Certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS required
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a 12x3 schedule
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, procedural hospital setting
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to collaborate with physicians, technologists, and ancillary staff
