Job description
About this role
About The Role
The role owns end-to-end UX design for core product surfaces — translating ambiguous business problems into flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes that ship to production and are measured against real user behavior.
The designer sits embedded within a cross-functional squad of product managers and frontend engineers, working in Figma daily, running usability sessions, and iterating based on qualitative and quantitative evidence rather than opinion.
Key Responsibilities
- Own interaction design end-to-end: journey mapping, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma for web and native applications
- Plan and run usability studies — moderated and unmoderated — synthesize findings, and present actionable recommendations to product and engineering stakeholders
- Design within and contribute to a scalable design system, documenting components, tokens, and interaction patterns for engineering handoff
- Partner with frontend engineers during implementation, reviewing builds against specs and ensuring accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) are met
- Define success metrics for new features, run A/B tests or post-launch evaluations, and iterate based on analytics from tools like Amplitude or Mixpanel
- Facilitate design critiques and workshops, presenting work clearly and defending decisions with research evidence
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of product design experience shipping digital products, with a portfolio demonstrating full-case-study thinking from problem framing to shipped outcome
- Expert-level Figma skills, including auto layout, variables, and interactive prototyping
- Hands-on research experience: recruiting participants, writing discussion guides, running moderated sessions, and synthesizing qualitative data
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and responsive/mobile design constraints
- Bachelor's degree in HCI, design, psychology, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfort presenting to senior stakeholders and receiving direct critique
- Bonus: experience with design tokens and design systems tooling (Storybook, Zeroheight), front-end literacy (HTML/CSS basics), or motion/interaction design skills
