Job description
About this role
About The Role
The role owns end-to-end experience design for a product used by hundreds of thousands of people daily - from early discovery and research synthesis through interaction design, prototyping, and shipped UI.
The designer will work directly with product managers, engineers, and researchers to translate ambiguous problems into clear, testable solutions, and will be measured on shipped outcomes, not deliverable volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design for major product areas end-to-end: problem framing, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and interaction specifications in Figma
- Plan and run usability studies, user interviews, and moderated/unmoderated tests; synthesize findings into actionable insights and design recommendations
- Build interactive prototypes in Figma (and ProtoPie or Framer when needed) to validate hypotheses with real users before engineering investment
- Contribute to and evolve the design system - components, tokens, patterns, and documentation - working closely with frontend engineers on implementation fidelity
- Partner with PM and engineering in sprint ceremonies, writing clear design specs, edge cases, and acceptance criteria to reduce implementation ambiguity
- Use product analytics (Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar) and A/B test results to measure the impact of shipped designs and iterate accordingly
- Present design rationale and research findings to stakeholders across the org, defending decisions with evidence rather than opinion
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of UX/product design experience shipping consumer or SaaS products at scale
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership - showing research inputs, design decisions, tradeoffs, and measured outcomes (not just final screens)
- Expert-level Figma skills, including component libraries, auto layout, and prototyping
- Hands-on research experience: planning and moderating usability tests, interviews, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and responsive/mobile-first design principles
- Bachelor's degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Psychology, or related field - or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience with design tokens and design systems tooling (Style Dictionary, Storybook), front-end basics (HTML/CSS), or motion design in After Effects or Figma Smart Animate
