About this role

About The Role

The role owns user-facing products end-to-end — designing APIs, building services, and shipping polished frontend experiences used by millions of customers.

You will work within a small, senior product engineering team where engineers own features from architecture through production monitoring, with real influence over technical direction and product decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js (or Go/Python services) — from schema design to deployed UI
  • Own backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs, including data modeling in PostgreSQL, caching strategies with Redis, and queue-based workflows
  • Build responsive, accessible frontend interfaces with React, with strong attention to performance, state management, and component architecture
  • Ship code to production on a regular cadence using CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), Docker, and AWS-based infrastructure
  • Write comprehensive tests — unit, integration, and end-to-end — and maintain high code quality standards through thoughtful code reviews
  • Monitor and debug production systems using observability tooling (Datadog or similar), owning reliability of the services you build
  • Collaborate directly with product managers and designers to scope features, challenge assumptions, and deliver measurable user impact

What We Are Looking For

  • 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production web applications
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript across both frontend (React or similar) and backend (Node.js, Go, or Python)
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), schema design, and query optimization
  • Experience deploying and operating services in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with containerized workloads
  • Track record of shipping complete features end-to-end and taking ownership of systems in production
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • Bonus: Experience with mobile development (React Native or native iOS/Android), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), or event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS)
