Vaco is working with one of their long term clients seeking a

Senior Financial Analyst

to join a growing, private equity-backed organization. This individual will play a key role across both

corporate and P&L-focused FP&A

, partnering closely with finance leadership and operational leaders to provide financial insight, improve forecasting, and support strategic decision-making.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants broad exposure to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and support the

annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes

across corporate functions and operating business units.

• Develop and maintain

P&L forecasts

, including revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, and key business drivers.

*

• Perform

monthly financial analysis

, including budget-to-actual, forecast-to-actual, and prior-year variance analysis.

• Partner with department and operational leaders to understand financial performance, identify trends, and improve forecast accuracy.

*

• Build and maintain

financial models, management reporting, dashboards, and KPI analysis

to provide visibility into business performance.

*

• Support

corporate FP&A activities

, including consolidated reporting, cash flow analysis, headcount planning, and expense management.

*

• Prepare financial reporting and analysis for

executive leadership and private equity stakeholders

, including performance trends and key drivers.

*

• Perform ad hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis to support

growth initiatives, investments, pricing, and strategic business decisions

.

• Help improve FP&A processes, reporting tools, and forecasting capabilities as the organization continues to scale.
• Partner cross-functionally with Accounting during the monthly close to ensure accurate reporting and understand key financial variances.

• Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

3-6+ years of progressive financial analysis / FP&A experience

, preferably within a middle-market or growing organization.

Strong experience with

budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and P&L analysis

.

Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and maintain detailed financial models.

Experience working with ERP, planning, and/or business intelligence tools preferred.

Strong understanding of financial statements and the relationships between the

P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement

.

Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance business partners.

Comfortable operating in a

lean, hands-on environment

where priorities can evolve quickly.

Private equity-backed or high-growth company experience is a plus.
