Labor & Employment Lawyer (Wage & Hour – Healthcare)

Provide legal counsel on labor and employment matters with a focus on wage and hour compliance in healthcare and emergency services settings.

• Advise on FLSA and state labor laws, including wage and hour, pay practices, and scheduling considerations for clinical and field staff.
• Draft and review workplace policies, ensuring they align with applicable labor and employment requirements.
• Manage and oversee workplace investigations related to wage and hour and related compliance issues.
• Support litigation, administrative proceedings, audits, and agency responses.
• Partner with HR and operations to promote consistent compliance across a 24/7 environment.
• Deliver training to reduce risk and improve adherence to compliant pay and scheduling practices.

Key qualifications/skills

Strong expertise in wage and hour law (FLSA and state laws), policy drafting, investigation and litigation support, audit/agency response experience, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in high-tempo healthcare operations.
