Technical Project Manager - Web Applications Hybrid in Alexandria,VA

Summary Job Summary Technical Project Manager (Web Applications) Lead and manage modernization projects for web and mobile applications, focusing on improving customer digital experiences and backend systems. Coordinate cross-functional teams including internal staff, vendors, technical specialists, business stakeholders, and senior management.

Define project scope, requirements, schedules, and deliverables in collaboration with business and technical teams. Manage project tasks, risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies. Oversee and report on project progress, milestones, and status to stakeholders, adjusting plans as needed.

Facilitate regular project meetings, document decisions, and ensure timely completion of action items. Resolve technical roadblocks and integration issues working closely with development and QA teams. Coordinate testing, deployment, production readiness, and post-implementation reviews for backend and application components.

Ensure compliance with security policies, system-hardening, and secure coding practices, including code reviews and vulnerability remediation. Utilize project management and DevOps tools such as Jira, Confluence, TestRail, Bamboo, Bitbucket, and Microsoft Project. Support stakeholder alignment, decision-making, and communication to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in a related field.
• 3+ years experience managing web application projects using Agile.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies (C#, .NET, APIs).
• Familiarity with Agile SDLC and DevOps tools.
• Strong experience managing schedules, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience in transportation domain and supporting specific web-based applications is a plus.
• Preferred Skills Experience with public-sector digital platforms.
• Knowledge of backend services, REST APIs, CI/CD, and secure software development.
• Strong communication and reporting abilities for technical and non-technical audiences.
