Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead and contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and high-performing applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in modern frontend and backend technologies, particularly Python, React.js, Django, Azure, AWS, and PostgreSQL.

The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, design scalable system architectures, optimize application performance, and mentor junior developers. Experience with healthcare interoperability standards, including FHIR and HL7, is highly desirable for this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Full Stack Development:

• Build, test, and deploy scalable web applications using React.js for frontend and Django for backend development.
• Develop and maintain seamless integrations between frontend and backend systems.
• Create reusable components and scalable application architectures.

2. System Architecture:

• Design and implement cloud-based architectures using Microsoft Azure and AWS services.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

3. FHIR & Healthcare Interoperability:

• Implement and consume FHIR APIs based on HL7 Implementation Guides.
• Map healthcare data to FHIR R4 resources, including Patient, Coverage, EOB, Clinical, Provider Directory, and Formulary.
• Ensure compliance with HL7 Implementation Guides, including CARIN, PDex, and US Core, as well as CMS mandates such as CMS-0057 and CMS-9115.
• Integrate FHIR data pipelines with platforms such as Firely, AWS HealthLake, and PostgreSQL-backed FHIR servers.
• Apply OAuth 2.0 and SMART on FHIR principles for secure access and consent management.

4. Database Management:

• Design, manage, and optimize relational databases using PostgreSQL.
• Write complex SQL queries and implement efficient database schemas.
• Develop data pipelines and ensure data integrity.

5. DevOps & Cloud Services:

• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate application testing and deployment.
• Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

6. Collaboration & Technical Leadership:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, architects, and development teams.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
• Maintain development standards and ensure high-quality deliverables.

7. Best Practices:

• Follow industry standards for application security, performance, and maintainability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend suitable solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Programming Languages & Frameworks:

• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Extensive experience with React.js.
• Proficiency in Django and Django REST Framework (DRF).

Cloud Technologies:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS services.
• Familiarity with AWS EC2, S3, RDS, Azure Functions, and Azure App Service.
• Knowledge of serverless architecture and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.

Database Management:

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in complex SQL queries, database schema design, and performance optimization.

DevOps & Tools:

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Healthcare Interoperability:

• Knowledge of FHIR R4, HL7 Implementation Guides, CARIN, PDex, and US Core.
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0 and SMART on FHIR.

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to lead, manage, and mentor development teams effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (BS/MS) in a relevant field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
