About this role
Electrical Engineer (Robotics Hardware)
$80,000 - $100,000 + Stock Options + Start-up Environment + Real Product Ownership + Technical Progression
On-site in Gainesville, FL (Relocation Package Available)
Are you a hands-on Electrical Engineer ready to take ownership of hardware from concept through to real-world deployment? Want to join an early-stage robotics company where you can build, test, and refine cutting-edge technology while having a direct impact on the product as the business scales?
On offer is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing robotics startup developing autonomous robots that automate key hospital workflows, working closely with a small engineering team to take next-generation platforms from prototype and validation through to production.
This company is bringing together experts across robotics, AI, and healthcare to solve real-world problems, rapidly iterating from design to deployment with hospital partners. As a result of continued growth and new pilot programs, they are now looking to add a dedicated Electrical Engineer to their team.
In this role you will integrate sensors, switches, motor drivers and battery management systems into complex robotic platforms, design robust schematics and dynamic wiring harnesses for moving kinematic joints and build test fixtures and automated benches to support validation and volume production.
This role would suit an Electrical Engineer looking to own complete hardware systems, tackle technically challenging integration work, and grow with an expanding team as products move from prototype to real-world deployment.
The Role:
*Integrate sensors, motor drivers and battery management systems into robotic platforms
*Design schematics, interface documentation and dynamic wiring harnesses for moving assemblies
*Component selection and BOM creation for prototypes and production builds
*Build test fixtures, calibration systems and automated test benches for validation/production
The Person:
*Degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or closely related field
*Strong analog/digital fundamentals (MOSFETs, op-amps, regulators, microcontrollers, SPI/I2C)
*PCB design experience (Altium preferred) and strong lab debugging/prototyping skills
