Job Overview

Huge is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of digital products and software applications. The ideal candidate has strong programming skills, an understanding of modern software architecture, and the ability to work collaboratively with designers, product managers, and other engineers.

In this role, you will help translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions, improve application performance, and deliver reliable software experiences that meet client and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and digital platforms.
• Translate product requirements and technical specifications into functional software.
• Write clean, reusable, testable, and maintainable code.
• Build and integrate APIs, backend services, and database-driven functionality.
• Develop application features using appropriate front-end and back-end technologies.
• Collaborate with design, product, data, and engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot defects and improve application performance, reliability, and security.
• Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and deployment activities.
• Contribute to technical planning, architecture discussions, and software documentation.
• Apply software development best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to engineering workflows.
• Support continuous improvement through testing, monitoring, and user feedback.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, databases, and application architecture.
• Experience using Git and collaborative development tools.
• Knowledge of debugging, testing, and software development life cycles.
• Understanding of web technologies and modern application frameworks.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining production software applications.
• Familiarity with React, Node.js, cloud services, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and application monitoring.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience building customer-facing digital products or enterprise applications.
• Interest in AI-enabled products, data-driven experiences, or emerging software technologies.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
