Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to geriatric patients in a hospital setting, including assessments, care planning, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, maintaining accuracy and safety.
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Document care in the electronic health record (Epic), including assessments, MARs, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum two years of recent RN experience in a hospital setting, with geriatric/medical-surgical exposure preferred
• Epic experience required
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and meet 36 hours of guaranteed weekly work
