About this role
Our client, a fast-growing consumer goods company, is seeking a Product Manager to play a key role in building and scaling its product management function. This is a highly visible opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of customer insights, market strategy, and product innovation.
You will help shape the future product roadmap, identify new growth opportunities, and lead products from concept through launch.
The ideal candidate is naturally curious about customers and markets, thrives in a cross-functional environment, and enjoys turning ideas into products that drive meaningful business results. You'll work closely with leadership, engineering, sales, marketing, and operations to identify unmet customer needs, evaluate market trends, develop winning product strategies, and bring new products to life.
What You'll Do
- Lead market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery efforts to identify new product opportunities and emerging market trends.
- Develop business cases, product requirements, pricing strategies, and product briefs that guide product development efforts.
- Own multiple product development initiatives across both short- and long-term planning horizons.
- Partner closely with engineering teams throughout the product development process to ensure solutions meet both customer needs and business objectives.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to define product positioning, value propositions, and go-to-market strategies.
- Drive product launches, sales enablement efforts, product training, and internal communication plans.
- Analyze sales performance, customer feedback, market data, and competitive activity to inform product decisions and roadmap priorities.
- Serve as the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring market needs remain central to development efforts.
- Help establish best practices, processes, and frameworks as the organization continues to build and strengthen its product management capabilities.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of product management experience within consumer products, aftermarket products, durable goods, or related industries.
- Proven experience bringing physical products from concept through launch.
- Strong background in market research, competitive analysis, product strategy, customer insights, and roadmap development.
- Ability to build business cases, pricing models, and product plans using data-driven decision making.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and executive leadership teams.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate customer and market needs into actionable product requirements.
- A strategic mindset paired with a hands-on approach and a passion for building innovative products that create value for customers.
