Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)

Big Spring State Hospital – Big Spring, TX 79720

Pay Rate: $48.00/hour (W2$13+Per diem$1400 =$1920 Weekly)

Shift: 5 x 8-hour shifts

Schedule: Variable / Alternating Shifts

Job Details

• Provide psychiatric patient care and manage psychiatric/medical emergencies.
• Complete nursing assessments for new admissions.
• Perform computer documentation (training provided).
• Follow Joint Commission, CMS, BSH, and HHSC standards.
• Every other weekend off.
• 2–3 weeks of on-unit mentorship with an experienced RN.
• Must allow 5 days for pre-employment processing before starting.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Psychiatric nursing experience.
• Strong clinical and assessment skills.
• Flexibility with alternating shifts.
• Six-month commitment required.
