Job Description

ClearSale is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of reliable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable applications, integrating services, and solving complex technical problems. This role involves collaborating with engineering and product teams to improve software performance, reliability, and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Build and integrate APIs, backend services, and application components.
• Work with databases to support data storage, retrieval, and processing.
• Troubleshoot software defects and improve application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
• Develop automated tests to maintain software quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
• Contribute to technical documentation and software architecture decisions.
• Support application deployments, monitoring, and ongoing improvements.
• Follow security practices when handling sensitive data and application systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, version control, and automated testing.
• Knowledge of debugging, application performance, and software security fundamentals.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a software engineering team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing scalable backend services or distributed applications.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Agile development and automated testing frameworks.
• Interest in fraud prevention, payment security, risk analysis, or data-driven applications.
