Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to conceptualize, rationalize, and drive multiple simultaneous projects to deliver engineering work across the portfolio using our Scrum execution model. In this role, you may drive the execution of a feature through the full stack or drive a project that spans multiple teams and integrations, reporting meaningful status updates along the way.
As a Senior TPM, you should be able to
Proactively manage the end-to-end delivery of engineering work across the organization and all dependent organizations, reporting progress, ensuring dependencies are covered, overseeing gaps between teams, processes, and systems, and removing all blockers to ensure successful delivery. Accelerate progress by driving clear, timely decisions. Understand industry technologies and have experience with them.
Understand your program, product, or domain. Demonstrate sufficient depth and credibility to be effective with the teams you work with. Competently represent your team's services to stakeholders and other teams.
You may need to bring developers or SMEs to meetings to discuss technical details. Regularly review metrics and proactively seek new and improved data and mechanisms for visibility, ensuring your program stays aligned with organizational objectives. Work within the defined program strategy and deliver independently, but occasionally seek direction from peers or managers as needed.
Act as the first point of contact for your team or area and the source of truth for status updates. Proactively identify risks and issues and ensure mitigation efforts are carried out throughout the software development lifecycle. Nurture good working relationships with engineers, managers, and peers.
