Job description

About this role

arrivia is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist who enjoys building campaigns, working with audiences, and improving results. You will personally build, segment, test, and deploy the email communications that support member engagement, product promotions, and lifecycle marketing.

This is a hybrid position, onsite in our Scottsdale office Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Friday.

About the Role

You will turn campaign plans into accurate, effective emails, from promotional sends to automated member journeys. This is a hands-on execution role for someone who wants to work directly in an email platform, take ownership of campaign delivery, and use performance data to improve the next send.

Working across lifecycle, product, and promotional marketing, you will balance multiple campaigns and quick turnarounds while protecting quality. The focus is email marketing, rather than social media management or marketing technology administration.

What You'll

Own

  • Campaign Execution: Build, schedule, and deploy automated and promotional email campaigns in Marketo or comparable tools.
  • Audience Segmentation: Create targeted audiences using member preferences, behavior, and campaign objectives.
  • Lifecycle Marketing: Build and maintain communications that support onboarding, engagement, retention, and re-engagement.
  • Product and Promotions: Translate travel offers and product updates into clear, compelling member communications.
  • Campaign QA: Check copy, links, audience selections, personalization, and scheduling before deployment.
  • Testing and Optimization: Run A/B tests and apply findings to improve content, timing, and campaign performance.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor engagement and conversion results, identify trends, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Work with marketing, sales, operations, and other partners to keep assets, approvals, and deadlines aligned.
  • Automation and Efficiency: Improve recurring campaign workflows and reduce unnecessary manual steps.
  • AI-Enabled Marketing: Use AI tools thoughtfully for content development, analysis, and quality checks, supporting arrivia’s commitment to AI-driven innovation while maintaining human review.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of marketing experience, including meaningful, hands-on email campaign execution.
  • Experience personally building, segmenting, testing, and deploying emails, rather than solely supplying content or overseeing others.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation or email platforms. Marketo experience is preferred, and experience with comparable platforms is welcome.
  • Experience with lifecycle, product, or promotional campaigns, with strength across several areas valued.
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to campaign QA.
  • Ability to interpret campaign results and turn findings into improvements.
  • Clear writing, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Initiative and the ability to keep multiple campaigns moving with limited day-to-day direction.
  • B2C marketing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite in Scottsdale Monday through Thursday.

Benefits & Perks

  • Unlimited PTO
  • Exclusive employee travel rates
  • Travel discounts through arrivia programs
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company participation
