About this role

Apple is where you go to do your life’s best work. Apple crafts consumer electronics that have touched millions and changed the way people harmonize with electronic devices around the world. Behind every Apple product is a deep bench of very hardworking multi-functional teams, where the attention to detail defines success versus failure.

HWTE is responsible for designing and developing methodologies and measurement solutions for calibration and validation of key technologies across Apple’s products. For new technologies, we focus on metrology development and design characterization. The team takes on a multitude of imaging & sensing technologies across all product lines.

We are looking for an expert, technical leader with experience in touch sensing hardware to join the team championing calibration and test strategy through engagement in early stages of technology development.

If you have broad experience across key hardware technologies, a strong product/customer focus, experience guiding sophisticated programs through the development process, and the ability to distill tradeoffs down to key factors and drive critical technology and product decisions we’d love to hear from you.

The Technology Program Office in Hardware Test Engineering (HWTE) champions technology calibration and test strategy while balancing between quality/customer experience with operational requirements.

In this highly cross functional role, we are looking for leaders to engage in early stages of technology development supporting prototyping, design validation, simulation & metrology development activities, as well as identifying mass production intent solutions.

This would require proactively driving alignment and convergence plan with cross functional teams, identifying risks & mitigating them — all while presenting frequently to senior leadership across Apple.
