Health Sensing HW – Sensor EE Architect

The Health Sensing HW team is responsible for architecting and integrating the next generation of optical health sensors into Apple products, and we are looking for a sensing system EE architect to help us bring exciting technologies to customers.

You will design, develop, and launch next-generation optical health sensing technologies. You will be the main EE architect for the sensor system; you will analyze tradeoffs between system constraints and sensor performance, enhance product design, and drive failure analysis and design convergence from proof-of-concept all the way to mass production.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Optical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Process Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Test Engineers, and Firmware/Software Engineers - to deliver state-of-the-art sensing. You will apply your influence and lead the cross-functional teams through key milestones in design and integration.

BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience required (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or equivalent) Strong foundation in analog and mixed signal design. Schematic/PCB layout and components selection experience. Experience in design or manufacturing or integration of sensor products Scripting experience for data analysis and automation.

Strong background in optical sensor architecture, design and manufacturing. (Mechanical, EE, packaging, system thinking and requirements management) Hands-on experience with EE and Optical lab equipment. Experience supporting volume manufacturing, including test design, failure analysis, and statistical analysis.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid collaboration and leadership skills. Strong teamwork abilities and self-motivation to tackle technical challenges. Ability to travel internationally
