Health Studies Operations Engineer

Apple is seeking a Health Studies Operations Engineer to support the design, coordination, execution, and monitoring of health studies. This highly dynamic role drives research to inform various health technologies.

The ideal candidate can balance big pictures with attention to detail, has health user study expertise, and is comfortable managing multiple projects in fast-paced technical environments. Minimum 3+ years of experience in health research management, health or engineering operations, or relevant medical/clinical experience. BA/BS in nursing, life sciences, health, or research-related discipline. Strong human subjects research background and clear understanding of user study research lifecycle.

Strong technical skills to set up and troubleshoot hardware and software. Demonstrated ability to manage vendors to deliver results. Experience integrating AI-assisted workflows into daily project execution to streamline repetitive tasks and scale output without compromising quality.

MS or PhD in nursing, life sciences, health, or research-related discipline. Ability to navigate ambiguous or changing study requirements while driving decisions and keeping the study on track. Proven track record of delivering large-scale user studies for product development.

Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting wearable sensors or biometric collection devices Proven ability to coordinate studies across multiple domestic and/or international sites and distributed vendor teams. Experience managing research budgets and contracts across multiple concurrent vendors. Thrives by managing fast-paced projects with minimal supervision.
