Job description

About this role

SentiLink helps institutions and protects customers by accurately resolving identities and flagging fraud risk. Each day, we verify more than 3 million identities, flagging 150k+ fraud attempts in the process. The problems we work on are challenging, and solving them takes deep domain expertise, rigorous analysis, and a willingness to dig into the details.

At SentiLink, you'll work alongside smart, highly collaborative colleagues who respect each other's time and judgment, take ownership, and follow through on their commitments. Together, we do truly meaningful work protecting the identities of innocent consumers and flagging the fraudsters attempting to exploit them.

We're well capitalized and growing quickly. We already serve 13 of the top 15 U.S. banks, we're expanding into new markets, and we're backed by Craft Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, NYCA, and Max Levchin. We've been named to the Forbes Fintech 50 and as a 2026 FICO Industry Vanguard Decision Award Winner .

We were also the first company to go live with the electronic Consent Based Social Security Number Verification (eCBSV) service, and we've testified before the U.S. Congress on the future of identity.

We want SentiLink to be the best place you've ever worked. We offer generous benefits and support a range of working arrangements, from fully remote to in-office. We are a digital-first company with strong collaboration across the U.S. and India, and we meet in person regularly to build relationships.

We have offices in Austin, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle (Bellevue), Los Angeles, and Chicago in the U.S., and in Gurugram (Delhi) and Bengaluru in India.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the entity's FCRA program from a blank page including policies, procedures, training, monitoring, and periodic testing.
  • Run consumer relations end-to-end: dispute intake, reinvestigation within the statutory timeline, file disclosure, identity theft blocks, and fraud alerts.
  • Design and enforce permissible purpose controls, including user onboarding, certification, and recertification.
  • Establish reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy, and the monitoring needed to demonstrate they work in practice.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to specify dispute and disclosure infrastructure, replacing manual process with tooling as volume grows.
  • Serve as the compliance point of contact for client third-party risk diligence, and support regulator, state AG, and litigation matters alongside Legal.
  • Own consumer complaint handling across the CFPB portal and state channels, and route what you learn back into procedure and product.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in consumer financial services, including hands-on FCRA experience at a consumer reporting agency.
  • Demonstrated experience building a FCRA program from scratch or materially rebuilding one.
  • Direct experience operating a dispute and reinvestigation function, including turnaround management and furnisher interaction.
  • Strong writing: able to produce policies, procedures, and client diligence responses that stand on their own without heavy legal editing.
  • Comfortable as a function of one in an early-stage environment, including doing the operational work personally before there is a team or tooling.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must live in the United States.
  • Preferred: JD, CRCM, CIPP-US, or CAMS; experience at a nationwide specialty CRA; Metro 2 and e-OSCAR fluency; exposure to a CFPB examination, state AG inquiry, or FCRA litigation; background in identity, fraud, or alternative data.

Compensation:

$190,000-$240,000/year + equity + benefits

Perks:

  • Employer paid group health insurance for you and your dependents
  • 401(k) plan with employer match (or equivalent for non US-based roles)
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Regular company-wide in-person events
  • Home office stipend, and more!

Corporate Values:

  • Follow Through
  • Deep Understanding
  • Whatever It Takes
  • Do Something Smart
