About this role
The Experience
As a Vulnerability Operations and Response Principal, you own the strategy, design, and continuous scaling of the enterprise vulnerability management framework across all internal business units, multi-cloud environments, and emerging AI and machine learning (ML) deployments.
Modern high-scale software as a service (SaaS) and AI infrastructure demand a proactive, risk-driven approach to the vulnerability lifecycle that goes far beyond static compliance tracking.
You serve as a technical authority and strategic operator, partnering with engineering, infrastructure, and product security groups to identify, prioritize, and neutralize infrastructure vulnerabilities, software flaws, and novel AI-specific security risks at cloud scale.
You gain the opportunity to shape how a global enterprise secures its AI-forward platforms and to present your work directly to executive security leadership.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Own the internal Vulnerability Operations roadmap end to end, driving strategy and execution for traditional infrastructure, container and microservice ecosystems, and secure development.
- Build and enforce specialized security governance and vulnerability assessment frameworks for AI and ML workloads, including model supply chain risks, prompt injection pathways, shadow AI deployments, and data pipeline exposures.
- Support critical vulnerability response operations, including leading high-profile vulnerability incidents and improving processes for your teams and partner teams during those incidents.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Architecture leaders across internal groups to build capabilities that minimize exposure to vulnerabilities across the entire vulnerability lifecycle.
- Design techniques for continuous automated scanning, intelligent triage, and ticketing orchestration pipelines that eliminate manual overhead and streamline remediation without creating operational bottlenecks.
- Report systemic posture trends, emerging AI threat vectors, model vulnerability metrics, and cross-group Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance directly to executive security leadership and C-level stakeholders.
You're Our Person If...
- 8+ years of deep technical experience in enterprise vulnerability management, product security, infrastructure security, or security architecture at cloud scale.
- A track record of running vulnerability response across a broad spectrum of stakeholders and keeping momentum even when there is no clear playbook.
- Principal-level expertise in threat-informed vulnerability prioritization frameworks, including the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS), the Exploit Prediction Scoring System (EPSS), and the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog, and in modern vulnerability management lifecycles across diverse multi-tenant environments.
- A strong understanding of emerging AI and ML architectures and security threat models, including large language model (LLM) security risks, frontier model-based attacks, supply chain vulnerabilities, and AI pipeline exposures.
- Proven success influencing senior engineering and product stakeholders without direct authority to drive rapid, systemic remediation across complex enterprise software environments.
- Clear communication of complex technical risk, systemic vulnerability findings, and strategic remediation roadmaps to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders alike.
- A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, or engineering, or equivalent technical education.
Even Better If...
- Experience building automated continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) security gating, automated ticket routing, and orchestration workflows.
- Hands-on experience securing containerized environments such as Kubernetes and Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or specialized cloud or security architecture credentials.
