About this role
The Senior Manager, EMEA Treasury Operations will own treasury operations across the EMEA region, including our In-House Bank (IHB) structure. This role balances strategic leadership—managing a team, setting regional liquidity frameworks, and navigating complex regulatory landscapes—with hands-on operational governance, process oversight, and TMS administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional treasury strategy and operational governance across EMEA, defining standards for bank account management, cash positioning, liquidity structures, and forecasting.
- Serve as payment approval authority for EMEA, evaluating risk, internal controls, and exceptions.
- Manage and optimize the In-House Bank (IHB) structure and cash mobilization while ensuring compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements.
- Act as EMEA’s subject-matter expert on treasury regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
- Own EMEA banking relationships end to end: structuring partnerships, negotiating fees/terms, and resolving escalations.
- Support FX team in monitoring regional currency exposures.
- Set direction for cross-functional coordination with AP, AR, IT, and GL, ensuring treasury requirements are represented in regional process design.
- Partner with Legal, Tax, and Accounting on entity structuring, new market entry, and regulatory change, bringing a treasury point of view to strategic decisions.
- Drive operational transformation across EMEA workflows, ensuring seamless administration of TMS, BAM, payment controls, and automated cash pooling infrastructure.
- Own treasury-related audit requirements and bank confirmations; serve as the region’s primary interface with internal auditors on SOX testing.
- Represent EMEA treasury performance, risks, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership, including Global Treasury and the Treasurer.
- Step in as regional backup for other Treasury teams when needed on payments, cash reconciliation, FX settlements, and bank user administration.
Ideal Candidate Will Possess
- Proven track record running EMEA or international treasury operations at scale with decision-making authority.
- Strong command of EMEA regulatory, compliance, tax, and banking frameworks with sound judgment in risk mitigation.
- People management experience, developing team members into strong operational and strategic contributors.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to establish regional direction and implementation roadmaps for complex initiatives.
- Executive presence and communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously covering the EMEA time zone.
