About this role

The Experience

The Manager of Product & Pricing Operations leads the execution layer of the team responsible for product configuration, pricing systems, and operational readiness across the Lead-to-Cash cycle. This role requires hands-on knowledge of Salesforce Product, Pricing, and Quoting methodologies and data models.

It also requires a strong ability to drive cross-functional programs from requirements through go-live, and the judgment to translate complex technical topics clearly to Finance, Legal, IT, and Product stakeholders.

Day-to-day responsibilities include scoping and executing product configuration requirements, managing cross-functional operational workflows, and ensuring CPQ and billing systems are validated and operationally ready before any initiative goes live.

Decisions made in this role are expected to account for downstream impact across the business function, and recurring issues or policy gaps should be surfaced proactively to leadership with a recommended path forward.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

1. Program Release Operations

  • Generate System and Process Requirements: Engage with IT and Business Partners to manage business requirements for solutions that impact Product and Pricing systems and processes. Influence cross-functional programs to ensure that outcomes match requirements and are successfully incorporated into new and pre-existing processes.
  • Operational Readiness: Validate that quoting, invoicing, and provisioning systems are fully configured and tested before go-live. Identify and escalate gaps with a clear resolution path.
  • NPI Program Support: Provide support for New Product Introduction (NPI) cycles across Product Management, Legal, Finance, and IT. Track cross-functional dependencies, surface blockers early, and hold teams accountable to shared milestones. Understand licensing and packaging implications well enough to advise Product Managers on downstream operational impact.
  • Change Management: Develop and deliver the documentation, training, and office hours that help the team and cross-functional partners adopt system and process changes. Treat go-live as complete only when the people involved can operate the new process independently.
  • Enablement: Build and maintain a culture of documentation and knowledge-sharing. When the team learns something new, whether a process change, a system update, or a configuration pattern, document it and make it accessible to others.

2. Support & Implementation

  • CPQ Systems: Maintain working knowledge of the CPQ ecosystem sufficient to configure, test, and troubleshoot independently. Identify and implement improvements that reduce manual steps and improve quoting accuracy. Monitor system health and ensure that data issues, system bugs, and feature requests are prioritized and owned appropriately.
  • Backlog Prioritization: Work with leadership to translate organizational priorities into a structured team backlog. Own the prioritization process and communicate tradeoffs clearly when capacity is constrained. Consider the broader business context and cross-functional dependencies when sequencing work, not just internal team capacity.
  • Cross-Functional Engagement: Represent Product & Pricing Operations in multi-functional planning forums. Serve as the primary point of contact for partners in Finance, Legal, IT, and Product Management on operational questions and requirements.

3. Pricing Configuration & Data Integrity

  • Cross-Functional Workflow Management: Own operational workflows that span Product Management, Legal, Finance, and IT. Maintain clear process documentation, approval routing, and accountability across stakeholders to keep work moving without bottlenecks.
  • Data Governance: Define and enforce data quality standards for product and pricing data in Org62. Run proactive validation checks, identify anomalies, document findings, and drive resolution with the appropriate system owners. Identify systemic data quality issues and escalate patterns and recommended remediation to leadership before they affect downstream systems or business decisions.

4. Process Improvement, Innovation & AI-Driven Operations

  • Process Improvement: Identify specific sources of friction in the Lead-to-Cash cycle. Scope and drive targeted fixes with clearly defined owners, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Innovation within Scope: Proactively identify opportunities to modernize how the team works, whether that means redesigning a data model, replacing a manual process with an automated one, or piloting a new approach to operational readiness. This is not limited to reacting to problems, but also includes bringing new ideas forward and building the case for them.
  • AI & Automation Adoption: Identify and pilot AI and automation tools that improve operational workflows. Build a team cadence around evaluating new tools, sharing findings, and measuring impact. Advocate for adoption based on demonstrated value, not novelty.
  • Execution Management: Maintain current documentation of requirements, risks, and system dependencies for active projects. Escalate issues that genuinely threaten a launch timeline. Communicate status in a format and frequency appropriate to the audience.

You're Our Person If...

  • Experience: 5+ years in Product Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related function.
  • Salesforce Expertise: Hands-on experience with Salesforce product configuration objects (Product2, Price Books, CPQ). Salesforce Admin or CPQ certification preferred.
  • Program Execution: Demonstrated experience running multi-dependency programs (product release cycles, system releases, data migrations) from requirements through go-live. Ability to manage scope, track dependencies, and close out work completely.
  • Data Skills: Proficiency working directly in data tools including SOQL, Excel, and Tableau to validate configurations, identify issues, and support decisions with evidence.
  • Communication: Ability to translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholders accurately and concisely. Comfortable preparing written documentation and presenting to cross-functional partners.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong track record of managing multiple parallel workstreams, identifying risks proactively, and following through without requiring follow-up.
  • Innovation Mindset: Demonstrated ability to identify gaps in existing processes or systems and bring forward concrete proposals to address them. Experience successfully implementing a process or tooling change that improved team efficiency is a plus.
  • AI & Automation: Interest in applying AI tools to operational workflows. Prior experience piloting or implementing AI tools in a business setting is a plus.
