The Software Engineering Intern will contribute to teams developing, implementing, and maintaining software for complex wireless devices while participating in the software development life cycle.

Interns will work on project-specific software engineering initiatives during the Summer 2027 internship program.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain software for the most complex wireless devices in the industry today Innovate as an equal contributor on teams of world-class engineers Make an immediate impact on the software development life cycle of one of Qualcomm’s numerous software technologies

Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field Expected graduation date of November 2027 or later 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python Candidates actively pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation between November 2027 and June 2028 Extensive programming in C/C++ Object-oriented software design and development Distributed systems and networking protocols Multi-threaded programming Multi-core and multi-processor systems System performance optimization Experience in complex software debugging Knowledge of modeling concepts (e.g., discrete event simulation, polyglot programming) Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., bridging, routing), especially in Linux
