Meta seeks a senior public policy professional to coordinate economic policy across Latin America. In this regional role, you will help shape Meta's positions on key digital economy issues and bridge local country teams with the global economic policy organization.

Given Latin America's dynamic policy landscape, you will focus on a range of economic policy matters, with a focus on payments/competition.

Operating with broad independence on emerging issues, you will drive cross-team and cross-country alignment through expertise and collaboration.

Public Policy Manager, Economic Policy — Latin America Responsibilities

  • Develop unified regional policy positions on economic policy matters, with a focus on payments/competition across Latin America
  • Act as the primary link between global economic policy teams and regional context, tracking priorities, timelines, and consultations
  • Align local policy leads on priorities and strategy
  • In close cross-functional coordination with central and regional teams, represent Meta with governments, regulators and multilateral institutions
  • Analyze regulatory trends and economic impacts to ground policy positions
  • Partner across internal functions to ensure positions match business priorities
  • Advise regional leadership on economic policy trends

Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive senior-level experience in public policy, government affairs or regulatory affairs
  • Demonstrated depth in payments and financial regulation policy, including direct experience on payments or digital financial services files with regulators or policymakers
  • Expertise in two or more of the following areas — fraud prevention, competition, tax, digital trade, telecommunications and infrastructure — with the ability to build working depth across the remaining areas
  • Experience managing policy issues and direct engagement across multiple Latin American markets
  • Proven track record leading complex policy issues from analysis through external engagement
  • Ability to align cross-functional regional teams and advise executives on policy risk
  • Full professional fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, required for engaging directly with regulators, policymakers, and stakeholders across Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking Latin American markets
  • Ability to travel regularly across the region

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recognized regional economic policy expertise through active institutional participation
  • Experience providing technical input to legislative or regulatory processes (e.g., consultations, working groups)
  • Experience managing a regional/multi-country economic policy portfolio across markets
  • Background in payments or financial regulation in the public sector or regulated institutions
  • Advanced degree in economics, law, public policy, international relations, or a related field
