Meta is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Retail Design & Build team. Our first-party Retail stores are rapidly scaling and building stores to a high standard is synonymous with enhancing the brand, delivering high-quality retail experiences and driving sales. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end construction of new retail stores, from initial design to new store openings.

You will use your problem-solving, technical acumen, and business insight to streamline new retail store construction. You will communicate transparently across all levels, motivate multidisciplinary teams, and champion best practices to deliver impactful outcomes that advance Meta's retail strategy.

Construction Manager, Retail Responsibilities

• Manage the construction, commissioning, and turnover of a Retail Store
• Manage the budget associated with the project
• Manage the cost change process and negotiate best pricing
• Manage the schedule and associated risks to ensure reliable and predictable turnover dates
• Manage warranty and tenant improvement work in the live environment when/as necessary
• Communicate upward regarding the status and risks of the project
• Negotiate vendor and contractor contracts and purchase orders as needed
• Mitigate risk for the project through pre-planning, innovative planning, and partnership
• Develop cost savings solutions and identify project savings/underruns early
• Partner with the General Contractor and other Vendors to build collaborative relationships
• Partner with Internal Cross Functional Partners to build collaborative relationships
• Coordinate needs and asks with the Procurement/Sourcing group(s) to support the needs of the Project
• Support the pre-construction efforts for upcoming projects
• Promote prefabrication strategies
• Support the development of Capital Project Budgets and Construction Rough Order of Magnitude estimates
• Support the on-site inspection process to ensure a zero punch-list and an expeditious turnover to Facilities Operations
• 50% travel to Meta Retail sites
• Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors in engineering or construction management or equivalent work experience
• 12+ years of experience in construction project management, including planning, budgeting, and delivery of construction projects
• Multi-Project experience in large scale construction management, mission critical, infrastructure, and/or retail construction
• General knowledge of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of capital budget management and contract administration
• Negotiation skills and experience providing solutions to problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

United States of America: $114,000/year to $168,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable. In addition to base compensation, Meta offers benefits.
