Job description

About this role

Enterprise Engineering builds and runs the technology Meta employees depend on every day. This includes the enterprise platforms behind functions like Finance, People, and Supply Chain, the collaboration tools the company works in, and the support services employees rely on. Our customer base is the entire company, and the bar for reliability is correspondingly high.

We are looking for a Business Lead to partner directly with the VP, Enterprise Engineering and the organization’s leadership team.

You will be the operating backbone of a large, fast-moving engineering organization: building the mechanisms that keep hundreds of senior stakeholders aligned, turning a high volume of inbound demand into prioritized action, and bringing insight — not just information — to the leaders making decisions.

You will connect the dots across the organization and its partners and move easily between strategic counsel and daily execution. This is a role for someone energized by operating at the intersection of engineering, AI, and business strategy, and who wants their work to make tens of thousands of people more productive.

Responsibilities

  • Run the organization’s operating rhythm, including monthly business reviews, roadmap reviews, leadership staff meetings, and planning cycles, and continuously improve the quality, speed, and rigor of each process.
  • Prepare the VP and leadership team for high-stakes engagements, developing briefing materials covering objectives, talking points, attendee background, recommendations, and the decisions required.
  • Build and maintain the relationships that connect the organization to its internal customers across the company and its key enterprise vendors, operating with a customer-service mindset and translating their needs into organizational priorities.
  • Scope, manage, and execute emergent, high-visibility projects that come from leadership across the company, often with ambiguous requirements and compressed timelines.
  • Partner with Finance and Mission Control on headcount planning, budget and OPEX management, and data accuracy, advising leadership on changes that materially affect the organization.
  • Synthesize signals from across a large organization into insights and recommendations that shape strategy, and drive the operating improvements those insights point to.
  • Drive leadership communications and org engagement, including written posts, all-hands content, offsites, talent initiatives, and Pulse action planning, in partnership with HR and Communications.
  • Apply AI tooling to make the organization’s planning, reviews, and reporting processes faster, consistent, more comprehensive, and less manual.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, Chief of Staff, program management, management consulting, or a related field
  • Experience operating in a technical or engineering organization, with demonstrated technical fluency
  • Experience building and running an organization’s operating cadence, including business reviews and planning cycles
  • Experience partnering directly with executive leadership, including VP-level and above
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across organizational boundaries
  • Experience managing budgets or headcount planning
  • Experience developing executive-level written materials, including briefing documents and presentations
  • Bachelor’s degree Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience in a Chief of Staff or Business Lead capacity supporting a large engineering, IT, or enterprise technology organization
  • Experience applying AI tools to business operations or organizational workflows
  • Experience in a high-growth, high-volume environment with hundreds of senior stakeholders
  • Experience in enterprise technology, internal platforms, or corporate engineering
  • Experience building organizational cohesion across a large, distributed team
