Google is an engineering company that develops products and technologies used by millions of people worldwide. The User Experience Engineer Intern will build front-end solutions, collaborate with UX designers and engineers, and develop prototypes using modern front-end technologies.

Responsibilities

Work closely with UX designers, project managers and back-end engineers to implement versatile front-end solutions to web development issues Launch, iterate and make a difference. Provide front-end coding expertise, and help make our products better for users Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team Deliver innovative, engaging prototypes using the latest in front-end technologies

Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or a related technical field Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Experience in designing and implementing user interfaces (UIs) Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside of university term time In their penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship Experience with modern frontend frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, TypeScript, Angular, Vue, etc.)

Experience in development or prototyping Experience coding in Go, Python, C++, Java, Kotlin, Objective C, Swift, or similar

Benefits: Health, dental, vision insurance Sick Time: 40 hours/year (increased to 69 hours/year for Seattle) including 5 discretionary sick days per instance Holidays: 13 paid days per year
