Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.

Preferred qualifications

  • Understanding of the networking fundamentals, including IPv4/IPv6 addressing, CIDR notation, subnetting.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems concepts such as RPC frameworks (gRPC, Protocol Buffers), microservice architectures, data consistency models, and multi-threading/concurrency.
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms and virtual networking concepts.
  • Excellent communication and people-management skills to collaborate with cross functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all phases of software development from concept and design through implementation and testing to launch and landing.
  • Develop, test, and maintain business logic for CIDR allocation algorithms, overlap detection and prefix reservations.
  • Write comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end validations for all new code, ensuring regression-free releases, preventing IP collisions across peered VPC topologies.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, after having shadowed experienced engineers to learn incident response, mitigation protocols, and root-cause analysis.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners and teams.
