Role Description
Form Energy is hiring a Manager, Supplier Industrialization Engineering to own the technical and quality strategy for our electromechanical and power conversion supply base — spanning PCBAs, custom wire harnesses, electrical panels, and integrated skid-level assemblies (such as fire suppression cabinets).
Reporting to Global Supply Management, you will lead and grow a team of Supplier Industrialization Engineers, setting the standards, processes, and supplier partnerships that let Form Energy scale complex electromechanical builds with world-class quality.
This is a player-coach role: you will set direction and develop your team while staying close enough to the technical detail to unblock the hardest supplier and quality problems.
Relocation assistance is available.
What you'll do
- Own the Portfolio: Set the technical and quality roadmap across PCBAs, custom wire harnesses, electrical panels, and integrated power conversion assemblies (including skid-level builds like fire suppression cabinets), ensuring a consistent industrialization standard across commodities.
- Build and Lead the Team: Hire, coach, and manage a team of Supplier Industrialization Engineers; set priorities, remove blockers, and hold the team accountable to PPAP/APQP standards and program timelines.
- Drive Cross-Functional Resolution: Partner with Design, Reliability, Test, and Global Supply Management to resolve the highest-impact supplier and quality issues, escalating and driving CAPA to closure.
- Scale Quality Frameworks: Establish and continuously improve the PPAP, APQP, and SCAR/CAPA frameworks that govern how contract manufacturers industrialize electromechanical and power conversion assemblies.
- Manage Supplier Capacity & Performance: Own supplier capacity planning and performance reviews, aligning CM resources, OEE, and yield targets with Form Energy’s production ramp.
- Represent SIE in Roadmap Planning: Act as the voice of supplier industrialization in technology and sourcing roadmap discussions, traveling (20–30%) to audit supplier sites and validate process readiness.
What you'll bring
- 10+ years of experience in new product development and manufacturing of electromechanical and electronic assemblies (PCBAs, wire harnesses, electrical panels, box builds, skid-level integrations).
- 2+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams, with demonstrated ability to hire, coach, and develop talent.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Deep expertise implementing PPAP/APQP and managing supplier quality systems across multiple commodity types, including electronics, harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Proven track record resolving high-impact technical and quality issues at contract manufacturer sites and driving CAPA to closure.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority at all levels of the organization.
