Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data & Software Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable cloud-based applications and data platforms. This role will focus on building secure, high-performance data pipelines and software solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Java, Python, and modern DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing enterprise-grade applications, real-time data processing solutions, and cloud-native architectures, specifically using GCP.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, secure data pipelines from on-premise systems of record to Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Composer.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs associated with technology domains, including upgrades and deployments.
• Build and maintain high-quality, high-performance, scalable software.
• Develop transformation libraries in Python and Apache Beam, including common SCD patterns, data quality checks, and masking/tokenization routines.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java-based applications.
• Develop solutions using Java, Spring Framework, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
• Design and support Microservices-based applications.
• Implement real-time data processing solutions using Kafka and Google Pub/Sub.
• Utilize DevOps tools including Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and solution documentation.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Experience developing applications with Java (Java 8 or later).
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Python development.
• Experience with Apache Beam.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:

+ BigQuery

+ Dataflow

+ Pub/Sub

+ Cloud Storage

+ Cloud Functions

+ Composer

• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with multi-threading.
• Familiarity with Microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD.
• Experience with Kafka and/or Google Pub/Sub for real-time data processing.
• Experience writing technical documentation.
