We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Crisis Stabilization Unit in Newton, Mississippi.

Our Crisis Stabilization Unit provides short-term, supportive behavioral health services to individuals experiencing mental health crises. We are looking for a nurse who is passionate about helping individuals in crisis, providing quality nursing care, promoting recovery, and creating a safe, therapeutic environment for patients.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral health crises.
• Conduct nursing assessments, monitor patient conditions, and identify changes in physical or mental status.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for effectiveness and potential side effects.
• Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate, timely nursing documentation.
• Assist with crisis intervention, de-escalation, and behavioral management.
• Promote a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in treatment planning and assist with discharge planning.
• Monitor patients for safety concerns, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, and other behavioral health risks.
• Respond appropriately to medical and psychiatric emergencies.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment recommendations, and available resources.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Mississippi
• Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing behavioral health and psychiatric emergencies.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion in a fast-paced environment.
