Wallace Metal Products, a growing Pittsburgh metals service center, is looking for an outside salesperson to build and run our Western PA territory. If you’re a hunter who likes being in front of customers, not behind a desk, this is your seat.

You’ll spend your days on the road: knocking on doors, working referrals, walking shops, and turning quotes into long-term accounts. The split is 75% hunting, 25% farming, and you’ll have the backing of a team that values open communication, respect, and camaraderie.

What you’ll do:* Build a profitable territory of new accounts through cold calls and visits, customer referrals, industry guides, trade shows, and quote follow-up.

• Dig into existing accounts to uncover more potential.
• Hit the road daily, with occasional overnight stays.
• Keep call reports and expense reports current.

What we’re looking for:* 3+ years of outside sales in metals distribution.

• A proven record of relationship-based selling, territory building, and strategic prospecting.
• Drive, focus, and the ability to adapt when a territory (or a customer) throws you a curveball.
• Clean driving record.
• College degree preferred, not required.

How you’ll be paid

Base salary scaled to your industry experience, plus commission once you clear a set profitability threshold. Because commission is tied to profit, we reward quality accounts, not just volume. What we offer:* Health, dental, vision, life insurance & short term disability.
