Lead AI Engineer – Azure OpenAI, Agentic AI & RAG Indianapolis, IN - Hybrid Experience: 10+ years Detailed Job Description:

AI & LLM Development

Design and implement the Generative AI applications using Azure OpenAI and Large Language Models. Develop Agentic AI workflows capable of reasoning, planning, and tool execution. Implement prompt engineering, function calling, structured outputs, and AI orchestration patterns.

Build multi-agent solutions using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or LlamaIndex.

RAG & Vector Search

Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures. Develop document ingestion, chunking, embedding, and indexing pipelines. Implement semantic search, hybrid search, vector search, and re-ranking solutions.

Optimize retrieval quality and reduce hallucinations through grounding and citation strategies.

Azure AI Platform

Develop solutions using: Azure AI Foundry Azure OpenAI Service Azure AI Search Azure AI Agent Service Azure AI Document Intelligence Azure Machine Learning Configure and manage AI models, deployments, prompts, evaluations, and monitoring.

Application & API Development

Develop scalable REST APIs using Python. Build microservices and backend services supporting AI workloads.

Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems such as

Salesforce SAP ServiceNow CRM applications Internal business platforms

AI Routing & Orchestration

Design intelligent routing mechanisms that determine whether requests should be fulfilled through: Enterprise APIs Knowledge Search (RAG) LLM reasoning Agent-based workflows Build intent classification, context management, and decision engines.

Cloud & DevOps Deploy AI solutions using: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Docker Kubernetes Azure App Services Azure Functions Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Monitor solution performance, security, and operational health Top 3 responsibilities
