Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant

Bookkeeper/ Accountant Position (Full-Time)

We are a regional wide company that provides international trade services and is headquartered in Corpus Christi, Texas. We are looking for a highly motivated experienced bookkeeper/ accountant to join our team.

This individual will be responsible for providing bookkeeping and payroll services as well as advanced data entry and administrative services.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Balance and maintain accurate accounting ledgers.
• Responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger.
• Posts transactions into company’s systems.
• Reconcile records and bank statements; investigate transaction errors and resolve problems.
• Prepare financial statements.
• Perform account maintenance duties; prepare invoices as directed.
• Create, maintain and update employee records.
• Responsible for entering and processing weekly payroll.
• Fill in for other account executives as needed and work cooperatively with others.
• Provide assistance with various administrative tasks.
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping procedures. Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping certification preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and other relevant computer applications

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
