SDET - Python

Job Description: SDET (Python Specific) Location: Foster City, CA Required Skills and Qualifications 6–8 years of experience in SDET, test automation, or quality engineering roles. Strong programming experience in Python. Hands-on experience with Pytest, unit testing, mocking, reusable automation frameworks, and REST API testing.

Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger and JSON Schema validation. Hands-on experience with k6 and JavaScript for API functional and load testing. Experience with test data parameterization, dynamic data generation, and API response correlation.

Strong experience in API testing and automation testing.

Experience designing and implementing

• Positive and negative test scenarios.
• Boundary and edge-case testing.
• End-to-end API test journeys.
• Contract and compatibility tests.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Experience with Git-based development and test asset versioning.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Hands-on experience with k6 and/or JMeter and Playwright.
• Experience creating smoke, regression, and synthetic test suites.
• Knowledge of performance, load, stress, and endurance testing.
• Experience validating deployments during canary rollouts.
• Ability to analyze test execution metrics and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Kafka integration experience, including testing Kafka consumers.
