As Solutions Architect, you will support a multi-project enterprise capable of supporting separately funded C2ISR requirements from Combatant Commands, Military Services, and Defense Agencies across ISR, communications, systems integration, modernization, and mission-support environments.

The Solutions Architect will asisst with expanding the initial program base into new customers, mission sets, technologies, and funded projects across the Department of War. This is a growth-oriented technical leadership position focused on translating operational challenges into executable technical solutions and business opportunities of Trace Systems' C2ISR program.

The Solutions Architect will work directly with customers and closely with program leadership, business development, capture, engineering, and operations teams to identify emerging requirements, shape technical approaches, and develop solutions spanning airborne, ground, maritime, tactical, and enterprise environments.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Solutions Architect will serve as a C2ISR technical expert across systems, networks, and cyber, guiding mission-driven architecture, interoperability, and resilience for sensor data backhaul across air/maritime/ground domains.
  • Defines and governs reference architectures, standards, and roadmaps (DoDAF/TOGAF), aligns designs to zero-trust, RMF/ATO, STIGs, and COOP objectives, and drives tech insertion for emerging platforms (including unmanned systems).
  • Delivers strategy and resilience plans, architecture diagrams/views, technical reports, and performance optimization recommendations; mentors engineering teams and synchronizes field/FSR feedback to ensure continuous improvement and mission readiness across CONUS/OCONUS sites.
  • Serves as a customer-facing technical representative for Trace Systems, engaging mission, operational, engineering, acquisition, and program stakeholders to understand current and emerging requirements.
  • Leads trades, modeling, and interface control (ICDs/data flows); chairs design reviews, TEMs, and TRBs; coordinates with PMO, cyber, and NOC/operations.
  • Translates customer mission and operational requirements into practical, scalable, secure, and supportable technical solutions.
  • Develops reusable reference architectures, solution patterns, and technical approaches that can be adapted across multiple C2ISR customers, platforms, mission environments, and projects.
  • Leads technical exchange meetings, solution reviews, and architecture reviews with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the technical growth strategy for Trace Systems C2ISR program by engaging priority customers, mission areas, capability gaps, and solution opportunities that can generate new funded projects.
  • Leads the technical maturation of opportunities from initial customer discovery and technical exchanges through solution development, ROMs, proposals, technical evaluation, and transition into funded execution.
  • Develops and present solution concepts, architectures, technical briefings, white papers, RFIs, ROMs, proposals, and technical recommendations to customers and internal leadership.
  • Provides technical leadership across ISR systems, sensor integration, RF communications, SATCOM, LOS/BLOS transport, tactical networking, mission-data backhaul, edge computing, and ground infrastructure.
  • Develops secure architectures incorporating applicable cybersecurity, COMSEC, red/black separation, CSfC, cross-domain, zero-trust, RMF, and information assurance requirements.
  • Assesses emerging technologies and platforms, including unmanned systems, sensors, communications technologies, distributed processing, and edge capabilities, for applicability to customer missions.
  • Coordinates across engineering, avionics, payload, RF, network, cybersecurity, program, and operations teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically achievable and operationally relevant.
  • Maintains awareness of customer priorities, technology trends, competitive capabilities, and emerging mission requirements that may create new Trace Systems C2ISR program opportunities.
