Position Overview
Thazen, LLC is seeking an experienced
Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer
to join our engineering team supporting the design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of mission-focused cloud-based applications and services.
This position will contribute across the full technology stack, including front-end applications, back-end services, data solutions, APIs, and cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary engineering environment and may provide technical leadership and coordination for other software engineers.
The position requires an
active Top Secret security clearance
and the ability to work
full-time on-site in Cincinnati, Ohio
.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to full-stack software engineering activities throughout the complete software development lifecycle, including architecture and design, development, integration, testing, deployment, operations, sustainment, and maintenance.
- Design, develop, and implement cloud-hosted microservices, APIs, data pipelines, and supporting services used for analytic and decision-support workflows.
- Develop and integrate software capabilities spanning front-end, back-end, data, and cloud infrastructure components.
- Evaluate, integrate, and support commercial and government software components and cloud services as part of custom software solutions.
- Develop custom algorithms, analytic services, data products, dashboards, user interfaces, APIs, and supporting software capabilities.
- Integrate analytic tools, applications, and software services into larger system and enterprise architectures.
- Support the development and deployment of scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud-based and distributed applications.
- Provide technical direction and engineering guidance to other members of the development team.
- Coordinate engineering activities, technical tasks, and dependencies to support project milestones and delivery objectives throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, cloud engineers, data professionals, and other technical stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
, along with relevant professional software engineering experience. Advanced education may substitute for a portion of the professional experience requirement.
- Professional software development experience using
Python, C, and/or C++
.
- Experience designing, developing, integrating, testing, deploying, operating, and maintaining software throughout the
full software engineering lifecycle
.
- Experience integrating
commercial software products or services
into custom software solutions.
- Experience developing
cloud-based and/or distributed software applications
.
- Experience leading, mentoring, coordinating, or providing technical direction to other software engineers.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance required.
- Ability to work
full-time on-site in Cincinnati, Ohio

- Ability to support limited travel as required, approximately
10%
.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active
SCI eligibility or SCI clearance

- Advanced degree in
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
.
- Experience designing and developing software within
classified or other highly controlled technical environments
.
- Hands-on experience with
AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud platforms
.
- Experience developing and supporting
microservices architectures, serverless applications, containerized workloads, and managed cloud data services
.
- Web application development experience using technologies such as
TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Go
.
- Experience integrating
Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS), Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS), or comparable third-party software
into production or deliverable software products.
- Experience working within
Agile software development environments

- Experience with
UML and/or SysML modeling tools and methodologies
.
- Experience with
Git-based source control platforms
and modern
CI/CD pipelines and workflows

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD technologies such as
Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and/or GitLab CI
