We are hiring on behalf of our client, a global technology services company, for a hands-on engineering role in Palo Alto. Role Overview We are looking for a motivated Junior Full-Stack Software Engineer to build and maintain business applications for our client.

The role spans frontend, backend, and data, so it suits an early-career engineer who wants to own features from requirements through release. You will work on admin applications, business workflows, and system integrations. You will partner directly with business stakeholders to turn their needs into working software and grow your skills across the full stack.

Key Responsibilities

Web Application Development: Build frontend pages, backend APIs, and database components for admin applications, and independently deliver well-defined features.

Business Systems & Workflows

Develop business features, configure workflows, and maintain applications on the client’s existing platform.

Automation & Integrations

Integrate third-party and internal system APIs, and build scripts to automate repetitive tasks.

Data & System Maintenance

Own database schema design, queries, data reconciliation, and migrations, and investigate and resolve system issues.

Engineering & Delivery

Follow development standards and take part in code reviews, testing, documentation, and releases. Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver on time. Who You Are (Qualifications) Must have: Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, with 1+ year of web development experience (internships count).

Frontend

Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, and the ability to build pages and UI interactions independently.

Backend

Proficiency in at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, or Java), and the ability to design and implement RESTful APIs independently.

Databases

Strong SQL and relational database skills, including schema design and basic query optimization.

Engineering Habits

Comfort with Git collaboration workflows, solid debugging skills, and a habit of writing unit tests.

Ownership & Communication

You learn fast, take ownership, communicate clearly, and proactively report progress and risks.

Bilingual

Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.

Nice to have

Experience building admin systems, workflows, or automation tools. Experience integrating third-party APIs, or familiarity with OAuth or webhooks. Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, or cloud deployment.
